I have a singer 7422, and black bobbin case seems to turn and displace and the whole machine stops working and sometimes cause to break the needle....can't do anything with it.....please helpppppp
tnx
You need to remove the needle plate and take out the bobbin case. Examine it for any rough spots, scratches or burrs. When you find them, you will need to remove them with an emery stick and then buff it with very fine steel wool. Reinstall the bobbin case and the needle plate. Put the bobbin in the machine so that it turns counter clockwise when you pull the thread. Rethread the top of the machine and change the needle. Hold the needle thread , turn the handwheel and see if the bobbin thread is picked up without snagging anyplace. If it's okay, sew away.

I have the same problem. It is a brand new machine so there should be any rough spots on the bobbin case.
