I have an E4 front loader it is flashing F11 what does that mean?

Try lowering the drain hose onto the ground and see if the water comes out. Turn off at the wall and then back on again a few minutes later. See if the door unlocks this time. Most front loaders wont let you open the door if it thinks its still full of water.

The symptoms are pretty specific for the F11 code on the Whirlpool Duet front loaders and clones (Kenmore Elite and KitchenAid):

If the washer starts to fill but the drum NEVER moves, your MCU is bad

If the washer runs through most of a cycle and then gives the F11 before (or during) a rinse or spin cycle, then you have the CCU relay problem.

The F is showing up saying there is a fault somewhere. Since you don't say what comes after the F code (F11, FdL, Etc) it's hard to say what the problem is. If you remove the lower panel below the door (3 screws at bottom of machine) ther should be a packet taped to the inside of the machine. This is the repair guide for the machine and it says what the different codes mean. Good luck.

F/11 is serial communication error code. It means the communication between the central control unit (CCU) and the motor control unit (MCU) is not good. Possible causes include worn or failed drive system components, faulty CCU or MCU, broken wiring harness, faulty drive motor, or faulty wiring harness connections in the CCU, the motor, or the MCU.

"dL" indicates Door Lock Failure: dL flashes if the following conditions occur:
Door lid is not closed completely due to interference.
Wash media buildup is preventing the lock bolt from extending.
Machine/motor control detects open door lid switch when attempting to lock.
Machine/motor control cannot determine if door lock is in a locked state.
Check for lock interference with lid or lock bezel
