NTL D4000 Lost connection

To register a handset with Cordless 2 base: Keep pressing call button [loudspeaker icon] on base for 5sec. then press [right pointing arrow in a diamond] twice. Then 9 0 1 then the system PIN if required. Choose internal number 1 to 6 for this handset and then the designation of the base station A=2, B=5, C=8, D=0, followed by [right pointing arrow in a diamond].

You need to reconnect this phone with the "base". If more than one charger came with this set, only one of them is the base. This would be the one connected to the phone line.

Please place it back in the charger that is the base or home unit.

So very simple - mega stupid not to have thought about it. Dis-connected unit from the mains , re-connected and BINGO - up and running again.!!!!!

to switch ansaphone modes:
press clear/mute to get TAD ON(or TAD OFF) displayed, then
Answer + Record: TAD ON then press 7 then 1
Answer only (no msgs): TAD ON then 7 then 2
SORTED at last!! :-)

You could try phoning the following number and giving them the make of the phone for the instruction manual but if that doesnt help please let me know and i will try and help you further 0870 010 7890

try simply putting the phone on the base charger (not the remote chargers if you have any.) after putting the phone on the main base, most phones will auto config again.

It may have lost the link to the base unit. Make a note of all the personal details, stored number, etc., then reset the handset. Do this by pressing the spanner button until the display changes, then press and hold the 'R' (delete) button until the handset resets. You'll have to set it up again, but at least it will link.
Spanner then 1 for ringtone, CID for volume.
Spanner then 2 for keypad bleep, 1=off, 2=on.
both cases press spanner to confirm changes.
