It's due to bearing struck. Remove motor and replace bearings, if the windings are good. If not you have replace motor only. Call repairman nearest to you. Thanks.

Sash cord is stuck - was rotary hoeing the back and all of sudden it stopped and can not pull out to start

It sounds like you seized the motor, the motor was more then likely a 2 stroke and needed to have oil mixed with the gas and maybe the mixture was off and caused it to lean-out and seized the motor. You can pull out the spark plug and put 3 ounces of engine oil in the cylinder and let it sit for a couple of days to see if it will free up, if it does then tip it upside down to drain the oil back out,put plug back in and start it up. If you found this info help full then please click on the thumbs up button. Thanks, Bob

Fit belt on Tricity Bendix TM 220 W Tumble Dryer Drum stopped rotating but motor running and element heating up. Took back off and belt seemed to have slipped off. Trying to reattach belt but it seems too...

Check the belt routing over the idlers near the motor, there is a spring tensioner, also make sure idlers are smoothly rotating and not seized.

I hope I have been of help but please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions.

Fan motor starts and stops intermittently

I would wonder if it's the internal cooling which comes on automatically whenever you microwave or the hood vent exhaust fan, which you can turn on and off manually.

It is vital that the cooling fan runs, or the turntable and stirrer won't work, and magnetron will soon be destroyed.

FixYa's Web site is currently not notifying us when replies to our Clarification Requests are posted, so please reply back directly with your full number from the tag on the unit so I can help you with free do-it-yourself tips or an estimate.

A full Sears/Kenmore model number has 3 digits, a dot, then 8 more digits, such as ###.########

Cooling fan motor is making loud humming noise

You will have to pull out the light engine. That will consist of 4 or more screws and disconnecting some plugs. The the whole unit slides out where you can get to the fan housing.

Unless you're mechanically inclined, you should not try it as you could damage the assembly.

I don't know the part number off hand and some of those have newer part numbers as replacement for the original. Just do a google search to come up with a part number.

Leaking dishwasher

Probably a leak at the motor seal where it enters the tub. Best to remove the motor if you can and inspect the seal.
