Burner will not stay lit. Push in knob-- flame starts, but will not stay lit as soon as you take pressure off of the knob, no matter how long you hold the knob in. Also, on other burners, I cannot reduce the flame low enough to simmer,as the burner will "tick" constantly.

Sometimes the burner holes get clogged. I use a toothpick to clean out the holes.
Hope this helps.

I never even saw one of these babys. Wow what a stove. The simmer issue might be fixed by removing the knob and seeing if their is a minimum flame adjustment in the stem of the gas valve. The non lighting issue could be some sort of flame sensing device not recognizing the fire is lite, you could try holding in on the knob a little longer to allow the flame sensing device to pick up OR get a brush and clean around the ignitor. She sure is a beauty. The constant ticking is usually a stuck spark switch.
To find the one that you suspect is stuck you must remove a wire from each switch till you find that one

My pro temp dual propane burner heater will light but won't stay lit

Either the temperature probe (at the pilot light) that signals the gas valve to open is defective or the gas valve is.

My Ruud achhiever 90 starts to fire but as soon as the blower fires the burner goew out. I also noticed that the "igniter" on the end isnt firing. Could that cause the burner to not stay lit when the

There is an ignitor and a flame sensor. If the ignitor does not ignite the gas after a time, it goes out. If the flame sensor does not detect ignition the gas valve closes. When you start it you should see the ignitor come on like a light bulb and glow, then the gas valve opens and you get ignition. Then the flame detector turns on when the ignitor goes out. Flame detectors are like a chrome wire that has one connection to it and it sits part of the way in a burner. They get dirty and corroded. When that happens it shuts down. You can clean the flame detector with steel wool of scotch brite pads. Dont get too carried away doing that though.

How do i start the pilot light on a JGBP28wek6ww

That model is an electronic ignition, ther isn't a standing pilot on it(no liitle flame that stays lit). Light the burner by pushing in on the knob and turnlig to "LITE" position, you will hear a clicking noise the sound of the electric spark igniting the burner, turn the knob to adjust the flame size. Keep in mind that all igniters spark whenever any of the knobs are turned to the "LITE" position. Good luck !

When lighting one of the burners, the ingnition knob has to be held down over ten seconds for the flame to stay lit when the knob is released..

Lift the top of the Stove up.
Look for a Small line that goes to the Affected Burner.
At the end of that Line you will see a small Flathead Screw.
Turning That screw Clockwise Adjusts your Pilot Light for that Burner.
Be careful not to Adjust to High, it would just be a Waist of gas.

hope that helped.

Burner will not stay lit

Presuming the flame is touching the thermocouple, try putting slightly more pressure on the knob and hold for a few seconds longer. If this doesn't work try going through the same process with the knob removed - if this works you need to put a small piece of packing in the shaft of the knob ( a small piece paper might do). If this fails you need a new thermocouple.
