I have a samsung jet. when I tried to text someone today, nothing on the touch screen is doing what it should! the text is coming up as keypad,the keypad numbers are all in the wrong place,for example the 5 is 4 and the 9 is 7 please help it is an effect unusable debbie

If you click one area on the screen and the phone selects another area then you might need to change the touch screen. I happened to me because I let my phone fall to the floor. I did the change for $30.

The touch-screen actually may be broken.You might have a bug in the firmware, to test this you can do a factory restore/reset.

Somewhere in the Settings should be an option called "Phone Sounds" or something similar. "Keypad" or "Touch" Sound should within this menu, and that should contain an option to mute.

Hi , From the description of ur problem it is very clear that ur touch pad is not synchronizing up with the touch . To fix it u will have to reset the factory settings and u need a a code to do the same . I will give u the code and see if it works .one of these will work for sure

I have the same issue as you, sometimes the phone does work correctly but and lets me select settings to recalibrate, but after a few moments the problem reoccurs, no matter where I tap on the screen only the icons down the left hand side of the phone activate !!! Driving me mad !

The touchscreen connector has come loose. It's a small flatcable which connects the digitizer (touch screen) with the pcb on the back of the screen.
