Camera error message #E45 camera Kodak easy share cx6330

I have a kodak CX6330 and am experiencing the error #E45. I have tried to push the lens back in manually but that was in vain. I have contacted kodak support and they gave me a number for a repair place who had me leave a voice message. I am just curious if any one knows the cost to fix. Is it worth it? Or should I just buy a new camera?

I had the same problem. Lens was stuck out and error would show up. Just gave the lens a slight smack against my hand while off and BAM it works. Thanks for the help.

Believe it or not, it REALLY works. I have a Kodak EasyShare One, the one with the touchscreen model. I even listed for sell on Ebay. It's a good thing I checked in this website. Thanks a million.

I have fixed the problem! For any out there with a the same problem, all you have to do is smack the extended lense against your palm firmly then turn the camera back on. It just worked for me and no more error, camera is now working fine. Good luck!!

Camera error # E45 problem Easy Share v705i dual lens How to fix it?! I dont have any official service in my country,so can you help?!?!?!!!!

Hello

Unfortunately a "camera error" message is not something that you will be able to fix. This error indicates a system failure and requires the camera to be sent in for servicing and repair.

You may find it more cost effective to purchase a new camera as opposed to the repair price on your current camera.

#e45 camera errot comes up on my v530 camera.

Hello.
Welcome to Fixya.

I have a Kodak CX6330 and I was getting error E45 as well - once the lens had gone out, it wouldn't go back in and close upon switching off the camera.

I opened up the camera (if you can't find a screwdriver tiny enough, use a simple utility knife! you can break off the tip a little bit and it fits) ..then I CLEANED the circular metal contact surface under the selection dial carefully.
ALSO, what I think was the main problem, was that one of the four contact plates (right underneath the selection dial), was bent backwards a bit. So I used a tiny pincette from a swiss pocket knife to fix it. And that was it, then I put the cover and batteries back, switched the camera on and it worked fine, no error E45 anymore, YAY!
That’s it from me, hope it works for you too.

greetings^^
