THE PRINT HEAD is the LASER that puts the image on the drum which puts the image on the transfer belt then paper or the drum puts on the paper. Missing the Print Head !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! did you get it second hand? Not something you can get at a store. Contact the company and see about it being repaired.

try to do this, power cycle your printer, turn off, unplug the power cable for 20sec. then plug it back again, try to remove and then reseat your printhead 5 times. make sure that you hear the snapping sound when you insert your printhead into your printer. if it still not work, call tech support of kodak. maybe your printhead is defective.
If that error happens every single time you turn on the printer, that pirnthead is faulty.
But if the error only happens some times, try a firmware update from www.kodak.com/go/downloads
In regards to the error message with the printhead missing or come loose......I had that issue just shortly after I installed my printer. I was going crazy trying to fix it taking it out and reinstalling which was a pain, removing the cartridges and then the printhead to no avail. Finally I got smart and disconnected the power cord from the printer itself, not directly from the outlet. Once I did that and turned the printer back on the error was gone. It might have been a fluke, but it worked for me, so you might want to try it.
