HP a6750f PC refused to boot at all after 1-1/2 weeks of use. Spent 2 hours with HP Tech phone Support - who never mentioned all of this model's identified problems (hard drive crashes/AMDRAIDX/Bios, etc). Repair guy says my unit needs a new motherboard; is this unit really worth repairing?

My system is refusing to boot

Detach the battery and attach it again, with the power cord unplugged, then plug it again, verify if is charging, if not take it to tech support, if it charge and have power, If power up but dont boot, try using the F8 key and try to enter in repair mode or safe mode. if can enter on repair computer (only vista and win7) use the start boot repair utility.

Hp pavilion will just power on but not booting nor comes up on screen

Hi Lordztech,

Sorry about the problems you are having with your hp pavilion. Please try these few steps out and you;ll fix the problems.

Step 1. You power and it does not boot........just press the power button and hold until it powers off. Then moved on to pull off the battery of your hp pavilion. Get the battery back on and power the system on again. If the error continues please move on to step 2.

Step 2. If step two refuses to work then you would need to test the RAM on your HP to ensure that it's not damaged.

Step 3. Check the hard disk and ensure that it works properly as well. This last two steps should fix your problem.

One of the hard wares mentioned in Step 2 & Step 3 could be damaged.
