SOURCE: villeroy & boch flush mechenism needs to be replaced
This problem is either two things:
1/ The water inlet valve is letting by and going down the overflow pipe. (Connected to the main centre column). You can check this by taking off the lid off.
2/ Centre column seal at the base is letting by. You can unclick the centre column by pushing the two paddles either side.
Then lift out the centre column and check the grey washer at the base. You can turn this washer around and see if this solves - if not the column has probably has a part snap off.

What country was this purchased in? Have not been successful in locating thihs model on the manufacturer's wesbites. The sites do have fact sheets that may meet your needs if you can find your model.

this is really old, but any chance you found a solution Dennis307? Same issue, we have Villeroy & Boch Carola as well and has just started running nonstop.
