I have a Sansa Fuze 8 gb (+Micro SDHC 8 gb). Via my Mac I deleted all my files in Sansa Internal Memory (mainly Podcasts and Record FM) and there are no files in these folders - according to my Mac. I then tried to drag-and-drop 2 small files from my computer to Sansa Fuze Internal Memory. Impossible. Error message in Sansa Fuze: "Not enough space for Music DB. Please free 90 MB" and I cannot enter the mp3 player. Sansa Info says "7.91 GB. Zero KB free". I have no files to delete to free 90 MB. What to do? I am totally stuck! Marianne

Here you go: open disk utility click on the sansa clip listing on the left- not the disk itself( the device) click the Partition tab under volume scheme, choose 1 partition click the options....button choose master boot record, the click ok (THIS IS IMPORTANT) click the drop down nest to format: and choose MS-DOS(FAT) click apply. when this is complete, you can eject the disk if needed, and your clip should be back to normal. this should be what you need, if not, click for more support, I will help (got a 4gb myself-christmas present). hope this helps, and please take a minute and rate the service

Hi i got a 32 gb sansa fuze memory card.. like 2 weeks ago. from buy.com and well today i got my sansa fuze white player. the memory card will not fit into the player. I would like to get a memory card...

From your description, you seem to have bought a regular SDHC (secure digital high-capacity) card. A Sansa Fuze can only accept micro SD or micro SDHC cards. For buying a new card, I would suggest this card from newegg.com. As for other things you mentioned: No, the card you bought is not meant for cameras only, the only reason your device uses micro SD/SDHC cards is because it is a smaller device. The 4 on your card signifies that it is class 4 which is the card's speed classification.

My sansa fuse 4GB seems to have lost most of its internal memory.Although I've deleted everything from the unit , I'm left with only 35 MB free of 3.65 GB.How can I retrieve all the internal memory?

You should format the memory of your player but if you have important files on the device make back up of them before. You have two possibilities to do the formatting:
1. On the player use the device Format command under Settings and Format option.
2. Using your computer, and windows explorer select the drive of sansa and right click on and choose format. Type of it should be FAT.
Then you already should find all the internal memory in the device.

Good luck!

I inserted a 2gb micro sd card into my 4gb sansa fuze for more memory and it's still saying I don't have enough space on it when I go to add a song off of limewire

Inserting a microSD card into the Sansa does nto magically expand its internal memory. The card is a separate chunk of memory. You can move some songs from the internal memory to the card to free up some internal memory. Or you can add the new song to the card.

Why is there no manual with my sansa fuze

Hello,

For the Sansa Fuze there's a manual available in pdf format on the Sandisk support site:
http://mp3support.sandisk.com/sansa/UserManual/FUZE/fuze_userguide_en.pdf
Save this file to a location on your computer for later use.

When you explore "My Computer" the micro SD card with x GB memory, should be available as an extra external drive.
This drive will show up as an extra drive letter with a total capacity of x GB .

Can an 8GB microSDHC card be used in my Sansa Fuze 4GB mp3 player

Actually, it sounds as if the card is working. The more you have on the card, the more free internal memory you'll need so it can build its media database. Remove the card, then delete some files from the internal memory to free up space. Then reinsert the card.

Can 8GB micro SD be use in SanDisk Fuze 4GB mp3 player?

In order to use an 8gb micro sd, the device has to be SDHC approved. If you don't see an SDHC (Secure Digital High Capacity) logo on the device or on the owners manual, It isn't compatible. It will read up to a 2 gb micro sd card.

Not enough space for music DB. Please free 90MB

Remove the microSD card and then delete one or more files from the Sansa's internal memory to free up an additional 90MB.

Deleting files from Sansa e250

The only way I know to delete music files or voice or FM recordings, is straight from the User's manual on the CD: 1. Set the e250 to MSC mode. 2. Plug it in to your computer with the USB connector. 3. Open the Sansa e250 drive in My Computer and browse to the MUSIC folder (or RECORD folder)and delete the files there. (That's where you also add music files, by dragging from other explorer windows.) To delete (or add) photo and video files, you have to use the Media Converter, which you install from the disk that came with the e250.
