Hi , I have lenovo y500 laptop it is not detecting the blue tooth device

Make sure you have bluetooth device and plug in to your laptop
see the device manager and try to refresh to find new device if theres no new device maybe your bluetooth was damaged
try to replace it and start all over again

    Actually Lanovo Y500 doesn't have integrated Bluetooth Device.. It has only Infrared Device. You need to get a external Bluetooth Dongle to Communicate with other Bluetooth Devices..

Unable to install blue tooth driver for windows 7 in my lenovo 3000 G430 series laptop.as i try to install the driver it gives me error saying no blue tooth device was detected.

Restart the laptop and check the bios. Make sure that Bluetooth is enabled.
For Fn-F5 to power on and off the wireless connections on a ThinkPad, you need the Lenovo Power Management Driver installed.

Just a couple of things to check.

If your laptop blue-tooth switch is enabled, then you need a second device with blue-tooth like a phone or laptop in range. Make sure the devices' blue-tooth adapter is switched on.

Your audio device is likely DSP based, and not actual hardware. You should be able to find the driver at lenovo.com. Once installed, then your audio device(s) should be detected and ready to use.

hi! just a tip probably there is a problem on the power board, just a suggestion if your still on warranty might as well call lenovo tech support so that they could replace the defective part. hopr this helps! goodluck!

Hi i m using lenovo Y500 laptop with Hitachi HT S541616J9SA00 as a writing device. My problem is my dvd writer burn the discs but after burning it fails to detect rhe data on the disc. it is for all types...

I am also using lenovo Y500 laptop, and guess what i got my cd drive replaced more than 30 times now. there is no problem in your computer, the problem is only with the drive. they also do not provide any firmware to update it. there is no filters problem. the problem is mechanical which is something you cant fix. these are chinese made drives, just use and throw. so, its now time to throw. there is no point banging your head, becasue i already banged a lot for this issue, and please dont replace your drive with sony optirac, it will also give you the same problem. all the best.

Bluetooth not working after OS re-install on Lenovo 3000 Y500 lap

if you install xp then find out the xp drivers in www.lenovo.com > select country > support and downloads > model number> etc. After downloading file >install the driver > after installation reboot your computer > after machin on you just switch on the wifi or bluetooth switch (near you laptop hinzes) and try it.
