We have a simple Mikomi DVD player (think the model number is DS 5778C) and the screen split somehow when pressing a few buttons by mistake. How do we get RID of the big yellow pscan logo in the middle of the screen? It has also split the screen into 2 halves. Help!!

I can only commiserate with all the people above. I also bought a mikomi from Argos as a treat for Christmas and I have found it impossible to find any region codes online so I can watch Region 1 dvds from the USA. Incredibly Mikomi doesn't seem to have an online website to go to - unbelievable!
So there seems to be no solution. I can only advise that people complain to the place where they bought and tell their friends never ever to buy Mikomi!

Partial solution...

Without a DVD in the player - eject the tray

1). Press Setup ensure you are showing 'General' tab
2). Enter 1389

At this point a list comes up with all sorts of info. At the bottom is Region Code 2. But I'm stumped as to how to change it. I've tried all different key combinations I can think of. On other Mikomi players except the ds-306a (the Argos is a rebadged Mikomi ds-306a) you can then use the up or down arrows and cycle throw the region nunbers until you get to region 0. Odd that it doesn't seem to work on ds-306a. Perhaps someone else can figure the final steps out
