Hello, The over temperature reset button keeps going off. Everything seems to be working fine with the fridge, I don't know why it keeps going off. Sometime it won't go off for weeks and then all of a sudden it starts up again. do you have any suggestions to what might be going on? thanks

I called the KitchenAid customer support number. Found out that control goes off when the temperature of the fridge is above 48 degrees (i.e., over a few days, the food would be spoiling). This is not the case for ours, since everything seems to be working fine. They said there is probably something malfunctioning with that button/control, and there is no manual turn-off mechanism. We have to call someone to come and fix it.

Yes, the thermostat for the fridge section has failed and it will have to be replaced.
