i also have this same problem on my sharp Aquos 37 inch LC-37x20e, if you hold the power button down it blinks green then goes back to red after bout ten seconds, had an engineer out and he couldn't even fix it, says he's never seen this before and suggest's i get sharp to change my TV, but they said this could take up to ten working days. What a joke!! and sharp are supposed to be reliable, i think not.

We have owned a Sharp 32" LCD TV for about two years. ... However a quick Bing search shows that the blinking green light usually means a bad power board, which seems ... No picture, no sound, just a black screen and two blinking green ... a cable surge block on the coax where it comes into the house.

These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. Normally one red blinking power indicator means your television needs a main board and or a power supply. The television would need to be evaluated and if you need a power supply only perhaps the service provider can rebuild it for less than $200. If the television needs a main board perhaps Sharp will work with you if you have an estimate. If you really have an aquos television 46 inches or greater you can get assistance at 877-332-7867
blinking red mean there is problem on one of the boards. it s a computer so it is stopping it to keep it from burning something up the 2-4 seconds is a system check.
i hve the same problem. I turned on my Sharp Aquos lc-32d62u HDTV last night for the first time, but it is black and a blinking green light.
