what operating system are you using?
Try downloading the driver from http://www.support.hp.com make sure you choose the correct windows version you are using (win xp, vista or windows 7) and then download the driver for audio.

It seems you have to download a driver, some default drivers of Win7 sometimes are useless.
And you'd better check if the other common application are usable too.
Windows 7 is compatable with everything in the v2000 series with the exception of the video card. HP does not have a compatable driver for their Intel series GPU.
Your DVD drive is missing the Burning Program not the driver. I found an update for your windvd software for windows 7 but you probably have to have the full program installed to run the update. Hope this helps.
