My whirlpool duet front load has been leaking. It leaks only when doing a load of laundry. Leak is coming out the back and on the right side. Took the front bottom off to see if I can see anything and...

First, make sure that the washing machine is not too close to the wall behind it. This could crimp the drain hose & force water out at the connection behind the machine. This could also crack/split the washer machine's port (to which the drain hose attaches). Second, check the hose clamp for a secure hold at the washer machine's port, & check the drain hose for leaks & for insertion in the drain tube at the wall.

empty the washer. then remove the bottom panel of the machine.put some water in it and see if the water is leaking when it is filling or full.I have seen a small hole in the tub just behind the bottom counter balance where the mounting bolt goes you may need to use a small mirror to look under there.f94b104.jpg

Whirlpool fron load Duet washer leaks

Check the easy stuff first, fill hoses tight?- drain hose cracked? Failing those checks, cut a piece of cardboard slightly smaller than the size of your washer. Slip the cardboard under the washer and run a short load. Look carefully at the water mark on the cardboard. The mark on the cardboard the water leak will leave, will help you tell from which side or front to back the leak is common from. This will help point you in the correct direction to look for the trouble maker.

thanks.

Duet 9150p washer Leaking

check around and under the rubber front gasket for any trapped items,
if flooding happens open the bottom access panel (3 screws on bottom front) and look for leakage at that time , there is a access door safety switch to the top right that has to be closed to let the unit run.
blow some powder in the bottom to show the wet spots and/or to trace when they happen again.
