The humidifier suddenly stopped expelling the cool visible mist. The unit itself is still on and seems to be running. What could have happened to the humidifier. I checked the sensor and it doesn't have any buildup and looks fine. I really liked this particular model and its features and I can't seem to find a similar one. I like having a filter due to hard water issues and like the ultrasonic feature.

If you are using the misting type humidifier rather than the wick-type. there could be a blockage in the misting aperture. These units clog easily, and it is best to use distilled water in them since mineral deposits can clog the aperture.

Apperently, it doesn't produce mist.

TRY POURING IN SOME WHITE DISTILLED VINEGAR AND RUNNING IT. THE VINEGAR LOOSEN UP ANY SCALE AND JUNK. AFTER RUNNING UNIT FOR AWHILE, DRAIN OUT ANY REMAINING LIQUID AND ADD DISTILLED WATER OR FILTERED WATER. RUN UNIT AGAIN. THEN DRAIN OUT ANY LIQUID. NOW THE UNIT SHOULD WORK AS NORMAL. IN THE FUTURE, TRY USING DISTILLED WATER OR FILTERED WATER.

with cool mist humidifiers your not suppose to see any mist. if it's a warm mist there should be. but by your model number i'm finding that it's a cool mist. that's why your not seeing any mist.

I have this same problem. And cool mist humidifiers DO produce mist. I have had my humidifier for a while now (6 years) and have never had any problems. But after the most recent cleaning, it worked at first, but now seems to not be working anymore... Am also wondering if there is anything I can do to remedy the situation?

No mist!

unfortunately on a cool mist unit the mist shouldn't show up. on most units that's what it does. the warm mist units show the mist.. the best way to tell is if you put your hand over the spout that the mist is suppose to come out of for about 2 minutes and you pull it away and it feel clammy then it's working. if your hand is still dry please let me know and i'll see what else i can do for you.

I have the evenflo cool mist humidifier, model # 758100. There should be a model number on the unit. As far as replacement filters, you can buy the Holmes humidifier filter, model # HWF62. It's compatible with Evenflo. I bought a 2-pk at Target for $15.99. Hope this helps.

There is probably a crack somewhere in the unit. Not likely, but worth visually inspecting closely.

Try filling it with less water and run it and see what happens.
