I have the Sony PS-LX300USB Turntable and it has been working just fine. I used it one morning then went to use it later that day and the speed was all warped. When I went to play it at 33rpm, it played at 45 rpm. When I pushed in the button for 45 rpm, it went even faster. I'm not sure how to fix this. Please let me know, as I want my player to work as soon as possible.

Then all you need to do is use this site. It will be in warranty so they should be able to send it out. If you have not registered the device do so at the same time. http://www.sony.co.uk/support/en/spare-parts
You have either knocked the connections to the cartridge causing a loose connection, or not seated the stylus right. Or you have static build up, which can be caused by poor earthing.
I just received the Sony PS-LX300USB turntable but cannot play sound through the computer speakers. States to setup Playback USB Audio CODEC which shows working and Recording it shows Microphone USB Audio CODEC which is working. How do I get sound???
hi, Select the switch to line. Then connect the red and white RCA pins to the corresponding red and white sockets of MD/CD-R play input of Yamaha. Select the MD/CD-R by pressing the button on the remote. Then play the turntable. OK
You would handle the belt by the ribbon instead of bare fingers so your finger oils wouldn't contaminate the belt. You stretch the loop of the belt over the drive pulley between the flanges to hook it.
You do not need a driver for mac... just plug the usb cable into your mac... go to sound settings in system preferences and set USB to default audio input device... then install audicity... it is free and open source... play your record and hit record in audicity. done.
any stylus should work i think radio shack sells them for pretty cheap and I know for sure that best buy sells them for cheap thats where I got mine. Best though from what I can remember is diamond tip but very coastly.
