My oven is gas and has an automatic pilot...but there is no spark ,,,,I can smell a little gas but no ignition

I suspect your silicone carbide ignitor is weak.

I have a nice video on my blog cover page HERE on silicone carbide ignition.

You can get parts, and service manuals for your machine HERE

My Amanda gas oven Model no. AGS781WW is not heating up in the oven, nor does the broiler come on. The electronic ignition glows, I don't smell any gas in the oven. The cooktop comes on fine.

even if the ignitor glows it may not be getting hot enough to light the gas. if it does not get hot enough the gas valve should not open. try changing the ignitor, usually 30 - 60 dollars.

Igniter comes on but gas won't light

It should glow almost a bright white. If its just an orange glow then replace the ignitor. Its probably just weak. If its weak it will not allow enough current to flow through it to open the gas valve. Good luck _MJ_

Igniter stays lit entire time oven is on Blodgett dfg 100-1

I have seen this happen when a hole develops near where the ignitor is mounted. The excess gass overheats the ignitor and burns it up. What I do in a case like that is slide a c clamp over the burner and cover the hole.

Gas smell at start up

Be sure that the igniter has a good ground. I mean make sure you clean it well. Be sure its fastened well. And of course that it is close enough to burner. Air flow in building can also hinder lighting.
