SOURCE: Photo Paper Jams

Based on your question, my first thought is that you changed the type of photo paper you used starting "this week" (when you first posted your question). If you did, the photo paper size/thickness may not be compatible with your printer.

Otherwise, there may be a problem with the paper sensor. Click on the following link and review the troubleshooting steps, particularly Step 2, to see if that helps:

Paper Jam Troubleshooting

Post back your results. If you are still having the problem, post any additional information you think might help solve the problem. Thanks and good luck.

SOURCE: Epson stylus DX3800 All in one printer, scanner Unable to print

Do a printer check by copying on standalone. means placing a document inside the scanner. Load 10 sheets of regular paper into the feeder then press the start button to begin copying. Try 2 copies. If it gives you the same error, then there is already an issue with the gear inside the printer.
If your unit is not under warranty anymore, log on to support.epson.com. Click on help me find a service center to the right of the page. You will have to put in your zip code to find an epson certified servicer near to your area.
If your unit is not a year old yet, please call epson technical support.
If it copied successfully, it could be just the paper settings, or the type of paper that you are using is not supported or you might have to uninstall and re-install drivers.
Try the above steps and reply me. Thank you Sir, Have a nice day.

Testimonial: "Thanks for replying so quickly. It still has not printed or sucked any paper in.I'm sure it must be the gears inside.Maybe just worn out?"

Red light is constantly blinking and when try to print, there is always a paper jam

Every time there is paper jam, the printer knows the job is not completed and hence tries to re-print after the paper is removed and cover is shut.

Clear the print job from computer.
Power off the printer and Clear the paper jam (if any)
I would try to use different tray. The paper pickup roller in one path may be worn out.
eg Sheet feeder or multipurpose tray.
Load paper in new tray
Set the application to use new tray

Ensure you sue the right thickness (gsm) of the paper. Quality of paper is crucial. Too thin; too thick can affect functioning.

Turn off the printer, then open the cover and remove any jammed paper or other foreign objects. Turn the printer back on again. Or it may have an internal error. Polaroid Paper Jam

I had the same promblem and this is how I solved it. If you have an android, screen shot the picture and crop as you desired. Then Press the share button and click bluetooth (Poloroid Zink) and dial in 6-0-0-0 for the password. Only put that in for the password. If it the password entry doesn't come up, that's okay. Hopefully this helped!

The red light is blinking and it doesn't print.

There are actually some certain meaning on the red light and green light showing different information to user. The summaries are:
1) Green On, Red Off = Printer Ready.
2) Green Fast-Flashing, Red Fast-Flashing = Printer warm up.
3) Green Fast-Flashing, Red Off = Printer off-line.
4) Green Slow-Flashing, Red Off = Processing Data.
5) Green Off, Red On = Cover Opened, Toner Empty or Developer Unit / Drum unit missing.
6) Green Off, Red Fast-Flashing = Paper Jam or waiting for jam reset.
7) Green Off, Red Slow-Flashing = Paper Empty or Paper tray is not inserted.
8) Green Off, Red Off = Printer power is off.
9) Green Very-Slow-Flashing, Red Off = Printer in sleep mode.
10) Green (any condition above), Red Slow-Flashing = Toner low or paper empty.

So what is your printer condition? Better know what is going on your printer so can solve the problem.

HL 2040 paper jam light is blinking but there is no jam. the printer sounds like it dies out everytime it tries to print.

Often the paper jam light will stay on when the *back* paper jam door is not cleared.

Open up the back of your printer. There is a 2nd door behind this door that you can pull open. If there is a paper in this section, pull it out and it should clear your red light.

When clearing paper jams, clear the front first, and then if the red light is still on, you need to check the back hidden door for another piece of paper.

Out of paper light

I've been stuck with a flashing red paper light for a while. The printer could print from the manual tray and could also print test or diagnostic pages.
So I thought it might be driver related, and indeed it was.
There's a nasty setting in the printer properties that makes the printer go woo-hoo. So go to printer properties > tray settings. Check the "paper size" of "Tray 1". If it's set to "undefined", change it to your corresponding paper format. Click Update, Apply. Now print happily.
I still wonder why that setting magically changed. Hope this helps someone.
