Reset your margins in the printer settings, it sounds like it is cutting off the edges according to margins. Post agian if no go.

Try cleaning the paper rollers and the print head. Use a wet cloth to clean the paper rollers. Use a little amount of water and some alcohol (Isopropyl alcohol) to clean the print head. (You may not need to do this if your printer cleans it automatically through software utility. This may be also have caused by the low ink level. Replacing the cartridge should solve this problem.

try this.. i got the same problem before.. and the main problem is the NO MECH MODE.. try pressing the setup button then take the plug out of your printer.. (still pressing the setup button) and put the plug back.. and it will remove the no mech mode.. then you could print like before.. i hope this helps

Is it almost a solid line? This may be an application problem. Are you printing text?
I have seen this in two flavors:
1) If there are switch settings for this printer you want to make sure that the printer is set for CR/LF ( Carrier Return/Line Feed). This tells the printer to Return the printhead to the start of the line and the LF command tells the printer to step up the page.
2) If you are connected serially, the parity bit may be set incorrectly. Depending on the parity, the bit could printer if set for even parity but the sending PC is set to EVEN parity can cause a LF command to get ignored and the symptom is the lines print on top of the first line.
