Re: HP F2200 stopped copying with the 'Plain A4' copy...
HP Deskjet F2200 All-in-One Series -
Printed Text or Image Is Skewed or Crooked
Issue
The text or images in the printout are not
straight and are skewed or crooked.
Solution one:
Make sure that paper is loaded correctly
Load the paper in the product:
-
Flip the paper tray extender.
Figure 1: Pulling
out the tray extender
-
Make sure the paper-width guide is in
its outermost position.
-
Tap a stack of paper on a flat surface
to align the edges, and then check the paper for the following:
-
Make
sure it is free of rips, dust, wrinkles, and curled or bent edges.
-
Make sure all the paper in the stack
are the same size and type.
-
Insert the stack of paper into the
input tray with the short edge forward and the print-side down. Slide
the stack of paper forward until it stops.

paper
CAUTION:
Make sure that the HP All-in-One is idle and silent
when loading paper into the main input tray. If the HP All-in-One is
servicing the ink cartridges or otherwise engaged in a task, the paper
stop inside the device might not be in place. If the paper is too far
forward, the HP All-in-One might eject blank pages.
-
Slide the paper-width guide inward
until it stops at the edge of the paper.
NOTE:
Do not overload the input
tray. Make sure the stack of paper fits within the input tray
and is no higher than the top of the paper-width guide.
Solution two:
Make sure that the HP All-in-One is within skew tolerance
Follow these steps to determine if the
product is within skew tolerance.
Step one: Print an extended self-test report
-
Load letter or A4 unused
plain white paper into the input tray.

Figure 3: Self-test report
Step two: Check whether the HP All-in-One is
within skew tolerance
The marks at the top and bottom of the
extended self-test report can help determine if the product is within
skew tolerance.
-
The extended self-test report has a vertical line at the top, a
horizontal line on each side of the page near the middle, and double
vertical lines at the bottom of the page.
-
Fold the extended self-test report in
half on the horizontal lines printed near the middle of the page with
the print on the inside. Carefully align the left edge of the paper to
make the fold even.
-
Examine the end of the folded paper
(opposite the fold) that contains the vertical lines. Examine the single
and double lines through the paper. The single line from the top of the
page falls between the double lines from the bottom of the page if the
product is within skew tolerance.
-
If the single line falls outside the
double lines, continue to the next step to clean the paper rollers. The
product is not within skew tolerance.
Step three: Clean the paper rollers
Follow these steps to clean the paper
rollers:
-
Turn off the product and unplug the power cord.
-
Remove the rear access door.
-
Dip a soft, lint-free cloth into
purified or distilled water, and then squeeze any excess water from it.
-
Use the cloth to remove any dust or
dirt on the rubber rollers. Rotate the rollers with your fingers to
clean all the way around.
-
Allow the rollers to dry completely,
and then replace the rear access door.
-
Plug the power cord back in and turn
the product on.
Solution three:
Service the All-in-One
If you have completed all the steps listed
above and are still experiencing a problem, service the product.
Workaround: Print
with a different paper type
Try different types of paper. The product
will print with many different paper types. Some paper that meets all
of the guidelines specified for the product might still cause printing
issues. Try printing on a different type of paper.
