HP Deskjet F2200 All-in-One Series - Printed Text or Image Is Skewed or Crooked Issue The text or images in the printout are not straight and are skewed or crooked. Solution one: Make sure that paper is loaded correctly Load the paper in the product:

  1. Flip the paper tray extender. Figure 1: Pulling out the tray extender HP F2200 stopped copying with - c01420985.gif
  2. Make sure the paper-width guide is in its outermost position.
  3. Tap a stack of paper on a flat surface to align the edges, and then check the paper for the following:
    • Make sure it is free of rips, dust, wrinkles, and curled or bent edges.
    • Make sure all the paper in the stack are the same size and type.
  4. Insert the stack of paper into the input tray with the short edge forward and the print-side down. Slide the stack of paper forward until it stops. Figure 2: Loading paper c01420986.gif CAUTION: Make sure that the HP All-in-One is idle and silent when loading paper into the main input tray. If the HP All-in-One is servicing the ink cartridges or otherwise engaged in a task, the paper stop inside the device might not be in place. If the paper is too far forward, the HP All-in-One might eject blank pages.
  5. Slide the paper-width guide inward until it stops at the edge of the paper.
NOTE: Do not overload the input tray. Make sure the stack of paper fits within the input tray and is no higher than the top of the paper-width guide.
Solution two: Make sure that the HP All-in-One is within skew tolerance Follow these steps to determine if the product is within skew tolerance. Step one: Print an extended self-test report
  1. Load letter or A4 unused plain white paper into the input tray.
  2. Press and hold the CanceHP F2200 stopped copying with - c00844049.gifton (c00844049.gif ), and then HP F2200 stopped copying with - c01419145.gifan>Start Copy Color button (c01419145.gif ).
  3. ReleaHP F2200 stopped copying with - c01419146.gifns. The self-test report prints. Figure 3: Self-test report c01419146.gif
Step two: Check whether the HP All-in-One is within skew tolerance The marks at the top and bottom of the extended self-test report can help determine if the product is within skew tolerance.
  1. The extended self-test report has a vertical line at the top, a horizontal line on each side of the page near the middle, and double vertical lines at the bottom of the page.
  2. Fold the extended self-test report in half on the horizontal lines printed near the middle of the page with the print on the inside. Carefully align the left edge of the paper to make the fold even.
  3. Examine the end of the folded paper (opposite the fold) that contains the vertical lines. Examine the single and double lines through the paper. The single line from the top of the page falls between the double lines from the bottom of the page if the product is within skew tolerance.
  4. If the single line falls outside the double lines, continue to the next step to clean the paper rollers. The product is not within skew tolerance.
Step three: Clean the paper rollers Follow these steps to clean the paper rollers:
  1. Turn off the product and unplug the power cord.
  2. Remove the rear access door.
  3. Dip a soft, lint-free cloth into purified or distilled water, and then squeeze any excess water from it.
  4. Use the cloth to remove any dust or dirt on the rubber rollers. Rotate the rollers with your fingers to clean all the way around.
  5. Allow the rollers to dry completely, and then replace the rear access door.
  6. Plug the power cord back in and turn the product on.
Solution three: Service the All-in-One If you have completed all the steps listed above and are still experiencing a problem, service the product. Workaround: Print with a different paper type Try different types of paper. The product will print with many different paper types. Some paper that meets all of the guidelines specified for the product might still cause printing issues. Try printing on a different type of paper.

Hi. Try pulling the ink cartridges out of the printer, turn printer off, then on again. When asked for ink cartridges, insert only one at a time.

Hp F4180 No copy to Plain paper

If you just replaced the ink cartridges, make sure you've removed the plastic tabs that cover where the ink shoots out. If they are old cartridges, make sure that the nozles haven't dried up. Remove the cartridges and dab a cloth (one you don't mind staining) where the ink shoots out, if all the colours show up, it's clear. If you notice very little colour, or none at all, try dampening the cloth and wiping down the cartridges to promote inkflow through the nozles. Hope this helps.

Rx 620 slow to print

Epson's RX620 scans and prints photos at high quality. Text, however, was slow to print and not that good.
it_portal_pic_41791_t.jpg Epson's multifunction devices fall into two categories: general-purpose models that are designed for home or small office use, and photo-oriented devices such as this, aimed more at the enthusiastic amateur snapper.
Because it's a photography-centred device, the RX620 uses dye inks. On photo paper, these produce more vibrant colours than pigment-based inks, and a true gloss finish, but on plain paper produce inferior, less vivid results.
The Stylus Photo RX620 is quite large, and looks dated - but it's not short of modern photo-printing features. Its built-in memory card reader is compatible with seven commonly used digital memory formats, including xD and SmartMedia. Photographers using film will appreciate the scanner, with its high optical resolution and transparency backlight.
On plain paper the RX620's text printing showed bandingand rough outlines on default settings. Our five-page black-and-white text document took two and a half minutes to print. Increasing quality settings made it even slower.
We tried realigning the print heads to improve print quality. The RX620's manual process involves choosing the best-aligned examples from four rows of 15 patterns. This takes good eyesight, and it can be hard to choose between similar-looking options. We needn't have bothered - text remained unchanged.
Photo printing was far better. The RX620 produced some of the best prints we've seen from a multifunction device, but only at its highest quality - and slow - setting. Our A4 test picture took 15 minutes 12 seconds to appear.
The RX620's scanner is excellent, previewing an A4 sheet in six seconds and scanning a 6x4in photo at 600 dots per inch (dpi) in just 14.5 seconds. Negative scan times were reasonable, with a single frame scanned at 2,400dpi in 1 minute 40 seconds.
The RX620 can perform many advanced functions without being attached to a computer, and its colour screen has a clear menu system. Prints can be made directly from memory cards, photo prints or even film. There are four document copying settings, but results using the default Text quality are adequate for most office purposes.
The RX620 isn't a brilliant multifunction device. It does many things well, but its printer is too slow, and simply not good enough on plain paper.

Epson V200 Copy Utility Problem with Incorrect Margin Output

I had the same problem forever and i just sat down today to fix it.
I have a Konica Minolta PagePro 1350w for my printer. The resolution
is set default at 600x1200 when in the Output Paper - Paper setting.
Change the resolution for your printer if you can to 1200x 1200 in the output paper - paper setting in the copy utility software, and
that should solve your problem with this half page copies. It might
still cut off some margins at the very edge, but most of the time they're just
plain paper margin. Hope this helps you out.

HP 2710 Printer

Issue When using colored paper in the all-in-one, printing or copying is slow. Solution This issue is a result of the automatic paper type sensor misreading the colored paper as photo paper. The print out takes longer because the unit is printing in Best mode instead of Normal mode. Follow the steps below to temporarily change the Automatic Paper Type setting from within the application that you are printing from.
  1. Click File , then Print or Print Setup .
  2. Select the appropriate all-in-one from the drop-down list and click Properties .
  3. Click the Paper/Quality tab and under Type is: select Plain Paper . Changes made within the application might not be permanent and the setting will default back to Automatic after closing the application. The setting will have to be changed each time colored paper is used in the all-in-one.
Follow the steps below to change the default Automatic Paper Type setting to plain paper.
NOTE: By following the steps below, the default Automatic Paper Type setting will be changed to Plain Paper. In order to use a different paper type in the all-in-one (e.g., photo paper), the setting will have to be temporarily changed to reflect the new paper type.
  1. Click Start , point to Settings , and then click Control Panel .
  2. Double-click Printers and Faxes .
  3. Right-click the appropriate all-in-one, and then click Printing Preferences .
  4. Click the Paper/Quality tab and under Type is: select Plain Paper . This sets the default paper type setting to Plain Paper.

PHOTO paper

The HP printer was prepared to use HP's photo paper to print borderless pictures among other things.
If you use a third party photo paper, try using A4 size, position the picture in the paper using MS Word or another WYSIWYG program and, after printing, cut the picture in the right size.
