Problem: no image, black everything, it doesnt turn on, there is no red light and no green light either, previously sometimes turn off and than went on again... it did it several times... I can buy a brand new inverter panel (vp2130b)... but my monitor model is vp2030b Questions: 1. Does the panel compatible withmy monitor? 2. Might the panel be responsible for the problem? If you shine a light at the screen with it on can you see the image faintly? If so the inverter or the fluorescent tube has failed.

1 turn power off remove appropriate fuse

2 UNSCREW PROTECTIVE CAP

3 screws aqre visible they usually hold 3 wires
black green and red. if they have losts of black wound together it means they are in series with other lighyt switches. Ideally get an electrician in.

anyway unscrew the wires from their holders and attach a new swtch placing wires basck in the same congfig. RED is LIVE Black is RETURN ( Usually) and Green EARTH.

(Sometimes live and return may be blue and brown)

put cover back on replace fuse and turn power on and hope there is no "bang" because you put wires in wrong way

Without a Make or model it's hard to say, but I would have to say it's the IFT which is the High Voltage Transformer.

Call Sony so they can fix it. This sounds like multiple problems. Good luck.

no red lights, no previous error msgs, and video output on the box has just died. playing halo yesterday and mid-game the colours went askew (like a green overlay) with horizontal banding, backing out to the dash solved nothing so after a reboot there was simply no video. troubleshooted the tv and cables and its definately the box.

The reset on my son's CH-DVD 300 was the stop button. All i did was turn on the dvd player and then held in the stop button for 10 seconds. And badow, I have video.
