I've been very happy with my Pronto 2 in 1 until recently, when it doesn't seem to "****" very well. I've cleaned the filters, etc, and the motor sounds fine. Any suggestions?

Did you check the smaller filter inside the main filter? The main filter comes apart to reveal a smaller filter inside the main filter. This needs cleaning also. If you have found and cleaned that one also. Check the Hose at the bottom for restriction. Thats about it.

Low suction

Hi Megan,

I'm sorry to hear you're having difficulties with your DC17. If it doesn't seem to be picking up as well as usual, you may have a blockage somewhere in the machine. To check for this, please follow the steps shown in our online support guide:

http://www.dyson.com/support/help.asp?article=954&product=DC17-ANIMAL

Although I note you've already cleaned the filter, please see the video below to check you've done it correctly. In normal use, the filter should be washed at least once every 3-6 months in cold water. Don't use detergent, and allow at least 24 hours for it to dry completely before replacing it.

This should resolve your issue, but if you need any further assistance, please call us free on 1-866-693-9766, or email [email protected] so we can help.

Kind regards,

Jack

I've bought a dyson dc07 upright vacuum and need to know how to get suction through the hose as opposed to the main machine.

Hi there,

When the cleaner is standing in the upright position, it's engineered to divert suction automatically from the cleaner head to the hose. The correct way to use the hose, wand and dusting tools is shown in the user guide:

http://media.dyson.com/downloads/us/floorcare/manuals/dc07_opmanual_usa.pdf

If there doesn't seem to be any suction coming through the hose when the cleaner is standing upright, you may need to check the machine for blockages. The easiest way to do this is to follow the steps shown in our online support guide:

http://www.dyson.com/support/help.asp?article=4&product=DC07-SY-HEPA_US

It's also a good idea to give the filter a wash, as demonstrated in the video below. Under normal use, this should be done at least once every 3-6 months. Use cold water without any detergents, and always make sure the filter is totally dry before replacing it - this may take up to 24 hours.

By clearing any obstructions and washing the filter, you should be able to resolve your issue without further assistance. Just got my dyson dc25 but the the ball will not turn, this is the first time using it

Hi there,

Sorry to hear you're having difficulties with your DC25. If the Ball doesn't seem to rotate correctly, it might help to check that the post-motor filter is locked securely in place, and that the filter cover is correctly fitted.

The video below shows how to remove, wash and replace both filters - note the way in which the post-motor filter is replaced within the Ball. It should be pushed into place firmly until an audible 'click' is heard.

You should find this resolves your issue. However, if you've tried this and are still concerned, it's probably best if you get in touch with us directly. One of our experts will be happy to run through some troubleshooting over the phone with you, and recommend the best course of action. You can call us free on 08002980298 (UK), or 1866MYDYSON (US).

I have a electrolux Pronto 2 in 1 and the suction really never seems strong plus the brush in the base doesn't turn and the vacuum has been plugged in for two days. how can I get more suction and make the...

There is a filter inside the main filter. Once that filter gets clogged it will loose suction. Pull the filter and clean it, you can wash it by hand. Turn the unit roller side up and check for a small screw cover that you can use a dime to loosen. This cover is used to remove the roller unit. Once out check and clean then check the gear assy. for miss-alignment.

My rechargeable "Pronto" vacuum has lost most of

First I would ask you to check the filter. There are two filters, one inside the other. Pull the filter out of the hand unit, stick your fingers down inside the filter and hold the outer filter and pull them apart. Be sure to clean the inner filter as well to re-claim some lost suction power. Please check the hose from the floor unit to the hand unit make sure it is clear and fits well. There has been some problems with this models battery's and you may be able to claim some repair due to a recall. I can not find a dealer in your area. But you can check the Electrolux support site.
