Problem regarding sound card software

Hello sir,

I have a desktop pc. i recently formated my system and installed xp proffesional on it. My problem is when i double click the sound icon and it's properties appear, but when i increase the line in volume , there is no increase in master volume . That is when i keep my master volume max and i increase the line in volume, there used to be an increase in volume , but after certain increase in line in volume the sound would get distorted. but now i am not able to do so.

Sir i want to check our lenovo 3000 that it contains correct RAM,HDD and everything in it. and another problem is that i have os win 7 proffesional so that i am not able to install c language in it.

Yes it looks like it, to run the C language you will need to dual boot Windows 7 and Windows XP. Or install only WIndows XP. Another idea is to install a Virtual Windows XP Operating system. Therefore XP running in a Window of Windows 7. Called virtualization.
However virtualization is not possible on this model of Intel CPU.

Take care!

Windows doesn't recognize my sound card and I can't locate a driver, for it. I don't think the sound card is bad, as it worked before I reformatted my harddrive and added the software.

Install the latest Sound driver from the website.

link: support.dell.com
Click on "Drivers & Downloads",
Enter your "Service Tag",
Locate the right driver, download it.. & Install it.

Hope it works....
