I have a Honeywell HE 365A humidifier i had the unit off last season. WhenI turned it on this year The humidity level in the house is still very low. When I investigated whether water is flowing I see water dripping from the spray orifice. Should the water be only dripping?

SOURCE: How do I know my aprilair 760 humidifier is working?

A simple check you can perform on your aprilaire 760 is the following:
1) locate the two brown wires coming out of the 760 (these wires will be wired to tell the 760 to turn on when the hvac bower is on and the humidistat is calling for moisture).
2) temprarily disconnect the two brown wires from the external wiring and then short the wires together. All you're doing here is bypassing the your thermostat and bower-on indicator.

With the 70 unit plugged in to the wall outlet and the two brown wires connected together, both the fan and the solenoid valve (water inlet valve) should both be activated.

SOURCE: Honeywell HE260 leaks somewhere

Neither, even if the solenoid or humidistat stick, it should always drain properly. Is the unit mounted on the cold air return duct or the supply plenum? If it's mounted on the supply plenum, the water panel might be getting blown forward and spilling the water. High efficient furnaces also can leak water on the floor if its drain is restricted. If hum. is mounted on return duct make sure drain is clear by blowing through it. On Honeywell hum's I've seen the rubber hose from the solenoid valve to the distributor tray leak too, check the rubber 1/4" hose.

Honeywell humidifier short cycles

It's not uncommon for duct work in an older home to Bang as the furnace cycles due to age. The humidifier banging while turning on and of is mostlikely the solenoid valve; if the solenoid is bad it is actually to your benefit to replace the entire humidifier as the solenoids are very expensive, 50%+ of a new humidifier. Plus you get the 5 year parts warranty on the new unit instead of just one year on the solenoid. If you don't want to replace the entire unit you can replace the Humidistat, and that should fix the on/off cycling, however a new humidistat is included with a new unit, which again is more cost effective. They are easy enough to replace as a do it yourselfer, especially when replacing an existing unit. I hope this helps you.

Honeywell 22a worked fine last year this year will not turn on.

Check solenoid 24V. You should here a "click" when you turn on the unit when furnace is running. These things clog up with chemicals.

No Water Flow to Honeywell Enviracaire HE225A1006 Humidifier

I have same problem with no water flow on identical humidifier but was able to fix it. Removed the inlet to the solenoid valve and found (1) a small taper mesh filter inside (2) a small diameter orifice that was clogged. Cleaned the miniature filter and used a sewing needle to open the orifice and now works perfectly.

Hi I need help understanding the controls to my humidistat. I have a honeywell a/c unit so I'm assuming the gold colored humistat next to it is also honeywell. I bought a digital temperature and humitiy...

The higher the % of RH, (relative humidity), the more humid the house will be. I would disregard the temp part of the dial, and focus more on your comfort. Adjust it up daily until you reach a satisfactory humidity level. Hope this helps

I just hooked up a honneywell whole house humidifer in my 1000 sq ft home. (last week) . i now see that the humidy has been at normal living condition. my problem now is i see i sttill go thru 15-20 gals...

Thanks for your question,
Well thats the big problem with bypass Humidifiers, they use alot of water, is yours running all the time, even when the furnace is shut down ? if it is, its wired in wrong, if not then there is not much of a solution for ya, is the humidity level in the home comfortable to where you can actually turn the house t-stat down ? if not you may want to incress the amount of humidity to be able to turn your house t-stat down, you should be feeling about 3 to 7 degrees warmer with the right amount of humidity, sorry I couldnt be more help, but thats the nature of that unit, just a little FYI, if you ever decide to try something different, may cost a bit more, try a steam humidifier, alot less water usage, its filtered, and pretty reliable too, thanks again for your question, hope atleast part of this helped !

Lack of humidity

Try the following test, ( I will resume this is a flow through humidifier)

Spray water directly oin the filter make sure it is saturated. Some water should leak from the bottom. After 10 min measure the Humidity to see if this helped. If there is a higher level of humidity the pbm is that not enough water is saturating the filter. Check the level of the filter & water feed nozzle.

Option 2 is to connect the water feed tube to a Hot water source.

Hope this helps.
