Definitely YES, no matter you photos in Canon camera got deleted, formatted by accident or became inaccessible due to camera memory card errors. Chances of recovery is possible as long as you take the right action.

Take a try of this Canon PowerShot photo recovery tool, Not only general photo formats, but Canon RAW photo formats (.cr2 or .crw) can be retrieved easily.

Note: before the photos are recovered, Never should you attempt to take more photos or save more data to the memory card in case chances of photo recovery might be reduced. Hope it helps. Regards.

Of course you can do it! Firstly, you should stop saving any new files to you canon camera (or SD card) or taking new pictures with you camera. Then find some photo recovery software from this site:

With only three steps: Connect -> Scan -> Recover, you can get your lost pictures back again. Best regards!

Why not? In fact, after the deleting process, the so-called deleted photos on a camera memory card are not erased immediately as you normally think. They are still stored on this card and only become invisible and inaccessible. As long as they are not overwritten by anything new on the same card, you do have chances to get them all back with a deleted photo recovery freeware:
http://micro-sd-card-recover.blogspot.com/2013/11/recover-photos-from-Micro-sd-card.html
This data recovery freeware has offered a special "Photo" data recovery type for you to restore all your deleted photos back with ease.
Therefore, just give it a shot here:
http://www.4cardrecovery.com/
Note: You should never be so careless and always back up all important data well.

Of course, you can! What you should do is really simple:
Step1. Stop using this camera in case that any new file would rewrite your original photos.
Step2. Insert this camera to your computer and prepare to restore your photos.
Step3. Download a deleted photo recovery freeware to your computer and start to retrieve all your deleted photos back:
http://blog4mark.blogspot.com/2012/12/photo-recovery-after-delete.html
In fact, this freeware has ever successfully saved all the inaccessible data of my friend off from his camera. So, I believe it can also work successfully on your camera memory card, too.
Simply read more information of this freeware here:
http://www.freeware-fix.blogspot.com/2013/02/photo-recovery.html
Step4. Save and back up all the restored photos on a different memory card or drive in case of data recovery failure.
Note: Next time, you'd better back up all your important photos on different memory cards or drives in case of the similar data recovery problems.

Okay ,certainly you can ,you can try the Canon photo recovery. And you'd better not add new photos to prevent the data cover.

Don't worry! Deleting won't make the pictures on a digital camera erase permanently. Those deleted pictures are still stored on the memory card of your camera, they're just invisible or inaccessible. You can recover them with photo recovery software. But once the deleted pictures were overwritten by new data, they are gone for good.
Here I recommend you these software that helped me out:
Mac Photo Recovery Software
Windows Photo Recovery Software

Ofcourse you can.
I think you can rely on Wondershare Photo Recovery to recover them from your camera's memory card.

Here is the steps you may refer while recover your deleted photos

1. Download and install the photo recovery program on your computer. Free download from this site:
http://www.wondershare.com/data-recovery/photo-recovery.html
2. With your camera memory card inserted, Under "My Computer", note the drive letter assigned to your camera's memory card (usuallyG: or H:).
3. Start Wondershare Photo Recovery and select the drive letter that assigned to camera memory card, choose the file types(all, photo, video, music) click "Star Scan".
4. Now the scanning process will start automatically to look for the deleted pictures. You will then get a list of all recoverable ones.
5. Select the pictures you want and click "Recover", then select a folder to store the recovered photos. Click "Next" and you can get back deleted pictures from camera successfully.

How to recover deleted photos and videos in sony cyber shot dsc w170 even if i took further videos and photos after deletion

Since your further photos and videos almost certainly overwrote the original photos and videos, you don't have a very good chance of recovering them. Do a Google search for "data recovery software" and select a program for your computer and operating system. Put the memory card into a card reader attached to your computer, cross your fingers, and run the program.
