The D-90 does not come with an internal GPS. However, one can be connected. If you have connected a GPS and are getting this error message, I would suggest you contact both Nikon at www.nikon.com and the GPS manufacturer to get help in troubleshooting the problem.

Nikon d90 control panel not working

In the (English) manual, on page 183 you find d9 from the menu settings (d; Shooting / Display): LCD illumination.
At the default setting of Off, the control panel backlight (LCD illuminator) will only light while the power switch is in the D position. If On is selected, the control panel will be illuminated while the exposure meters are active (pg. 35). Select Off for increased battery life. This option is available in all shooting modes.
So you have to go to the menu settings d9 and switch it on again.

Hahnel remote shutter release where do I pug it into a Nikon d90?

Assuming it's the proper model, it goes into the connector under the lower cover on the left side of the camera (away from the handgrip) marked "GPS." The connector is also used for the GP-1 GPS unit, thus the marking.

I have selected the continuous high and low speed modes option but my Nikon D90 still only takes 1 photo at a time. Any ideas?

There is a memory card loaded and you are holding down the shutter release, right?

Do you have the delayed release mode turned on? What's your shutter speed? What're your AF settings?

My d90 will not accecept the memory card

the spring loaded receiver is probably broken, take it in to a camera repair store and cross your fingers.

Tele converter option for Tamron 28-75mm f2.8

This is a lens for Sony/Minolta cameras. It is not compatible with the Nikon D90. Hence a Teleconverter for Nikon will not work on this lens to mount it to a Nikon D90.
