SOURCE: canon digital ixus 700

I understand that it takes a maximum of 2GB. Still loads of photo/video capability. Don't make the mistake I did of buying a 4GB SDHC card for it. It won't take it.

For any self respecting programmer/hacker, the instructions at http://users.utu.fi/paanni/camera.html maybe close to what you want.

No! I'am afraid not, you will need a web cam to do the job, the design requirements are different for each.

Dear sir, i have buy a new ixus 130 , this camera is automaticly shutdown after 3 minutes . error shows (temporary shutdown) a technician said that this is software problem..so you have to reinstall...

You may have to have another chat with the technician. According to Canon's web site, there are no firmware updates available for the IXUS 130 (or SD1400 as it's known in some parts of the world).

Check your settings in the menus. If you've muted the camera to remove the other sounds, it will mute the video soundtrack as well.

No, you cannot use the Canon as a web cam. It was designed as a camera, to store images (and incidentally, videos) to a memory card. It was not designed to stream live images to another device.
