How do i switch our the NumLock on my keyboard of IBM r52? I want to use the normal keyboard of laptop.

Hi,

Please try to press and hold Fn at the bottom left corner of the keyboard and then Nmlk which is located above the F11, thats how you disabled and enabled the Numlock capability.

Hope this will help... Your response is very much appreciated....

Work with an external numeric keyboard

I'm afraid that is not possible. The only way to overcome this is to get a full size USB keyboard and plug it into the laptop's USB port and type using the full size keyboard.

Ibm thinkpad keyboard right side is #'s not letters

Hi,
You have accidentally turned on the "Num Lock", all you have to do is hit the Num Lock key to return the keyboard to normal, it is located at the top right hand side of the keyboard.

My ibm thinkpad keyboard is typing numbers in the letter positions

sounds like you simply have NUM LOCK turned on. Hold down the shift key and press the ScrLk (scroll lock) button to turn this off.

Type letter and get number on keyboard

Hold down the Function Key and the F11 key at the same time. That should reset your keyboard to the letter.

Problem with keyboard replacement in IBM Thinkpad R52

The keyboard you purchased (39T0704) is a US English keyboard. Change your input local in your "Keyboard" "Control Panel" to "EN English (United States)" and all your keys should work. As far as getting the English keyboard to work in German or Polish is very unlikely.
