I have a Goodman GMP125-5 furnace. A year ago, my circuit board was replaced by a repairman. He also replaced the heat exchanger, because he said it was cracked. It worked great until about a month ago. The vent fan would come on, then the igniter would light, but no gas would flow. After 4 attempts from the igniter, it would go into lock out and try again later. Sometimes it would work normally and heat the house. Then it would go back to no gas flow. The repairman came back and said he cleaned the tube to the vent switch. The furnace worked again normally until today. Its doing what it did a month ago, sometimes the gas will not flow.

It would sound like the pressure switch is not working you can take off ther tubes and by hand put a small drill bit in the and clean the switch , some times this works , on some you can jump out the switch and try and fool it in too working

Goodman Model GMV950905DX-an electrical surge burned out the transformer which I replaced, also replaced the circuit board. The variable speed furnace will no longer kick into high speed and it will l

If I remember correctly, there are dip switches on that control board that can be set individually. It is possible that it is just a setup issue. The switch positions should be explained in the installation instructions. I know that some Goodman and Amana two stage furnaces can be controlled by a single stage thermostat, but the dip switches have to be set properly. If the switches are set correctly the furnace will run in low stage heat for approximately 5 minutes and if the thermostat hasn't satisfied yet, it will kick in to high stage heat. I hope this points you in the right direction!

We need to change the heat exchanger for my Goodman Heat Furnace model no.-GMP 075-3

Not an easy task! Take many pictures as well as draw out and mark which wire went where. You will have to remove everything from inside the cabinet to get to the heat exchanger. It may be easier to replace the furnace. If you are paying a professional to do the exchange, figure three hours if they have done it before, if not figure 5 to 6.

I have a goodman gmnt 100 b furnace 2 stage when the gave valve turns on and floods the heat exchanger with flame then the squirl cage fan turns on and i loose the the flame

If you are getting flame distortion when the blower comes on it usually means a cracked heat exchanger which can lead to carbon monoxide, get your furnace checked by a qualified tech..

Goodman furnace

sounds like the fan switch in the furnace is coming on and off. This is common for Goodman. or could be the heat anticipator on the t-stat. While there are several reasons this happens these are the most common.

The repairman said there was excessive rust and the area was pitted near the heat exchanger. The furnace is a Coleman EVCON Model BGD12520 about 11 years old. Could this be residue from the burner or...

if he said there is rusted heat exchanger he was right not to start the unit . you can only call for a second opinion and have a nother repairman confure the heat exchanger is beyond its life. and then ask if there is replacement exchanger avalable for your furnace if its not to old this may be a less expensive alternative.
hope this helps you

Fuse in A/C unit

Hi

This fuse is on the control board inside of the furnace. If you take the outside cover off you should be able to see it on the upper left habd side of the circuit board. It probably is either a 3 or 5 amp fuse depending on the size and/or model of your unit.

Hope this helps Ya

Goodman furnace model #GPO 125_4 REV 8 Installed 6/2/2002

Have you measured the temperature in the suppy plenum? Should be 140 to 160 max. If hotter, you have a blockage in the ductwork or vents closed. If within spec, bad circuit board.
