I have a new LG 32 LD450 TV. When the set is on, there is a green light in lower right. when set is off there is a red light in lower right. should this red light be there all the time, even when set if off?

the psu has failed prob a CCFL fault as it flashes red
the low voltages like 5v is ok

get it serviced by a tv person i think its more too do with the lcd panel

Your power supply board is dead, u know basic electronics’ and soldering? Most of the times, the power supply board just have dead leakages gases capacitors.These capacitors always bulges up on it top,or puff up on it top.Replaced these gases leakages capacitors will get your TV power stable,and work again.Or tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a whole refurbish power supply board for the replacement.

There might be an off on switch under the lower right hand corner of the set. (feel for it) and switch it.

It depends on exacly what you have bought and what you have connected to it. best contact the delaer that you bought the LG from and get them to tell you.

Ur power inverter board is dead.

Did anyone find out the solution for this??????? I have the exact same problem with my LG 32 LCD. I only had it for a year and a half, and the green light blinks a few times and it shows no picture. Not even a red light when the tv is off. The same thing happened a couple weeks ago and by some miracle it started working again.

Not really if the set is turned completely off there will be no light at all, normally a yellow or red light on a tv is not a good sign .
