I am trying to record a cd from a tape, which I have done many times on exactly the same kind of disk. Now it won't record. CONSUMER shows in the display window, which according to my instructions, means wrong type of disk. WHAT'S WRONG?? I've tried 3 different brands of cds and it does not work. Thanks. LC My recorder is a Classic CDR200.

Push CD Sync...when goes into it....push record or pause....like a double tape deck.

  • Anonymous Jul 19, 2008

Well hey, I didn't either when I first bought one. I was using the ones I used for my PC in it. Took me forever to figure that one out......and thanks to Best Buy for making me feel like an idiot. Ugh. Glad you got it up and running.

Phillips cdr 200 recorder, just recorded 13 tracks with time left over on sony brand recordable cds for music. i switched from analog to digital to finalize and it took 4 mins however RECORDABLE still...

It sounds like it didn't truly finalize. Try finalizing it again since the 'recordable' status implies it still qualifies. You have to press RECORD immediately after FINALIZE.

The Philips directory lists a few CDR200 models but the documentation contains directiosn for CDR765.

http://www.p4c.philips.com/files/c/

for example...
http://www.p4c.philips.com/files/c/cdr200bk/cdr200bk_dfu_aen.pdf

If for some reason you ever want or need to extract music from a non-finalized CDR or CDR-W, try loading it into a standard DVD player. Without a TOC the player won't be able to display track info or navigate to individual tracks but it MAY play it straight through anyway and you could digitally capture all or part of the output on another CDR. Just be aware that if the original is rewriteable and has old data beyond the new data you will crash into it without warning at the end of the new data, so be ready to pause your copy at the appropriate time.

KOSS CDR 200 RECORDING

Yes, but you, like I could use an owners manual for this thing, as it isn't as easy to operate as the Philips Audio CD recorders. Owner's manual anyone?
You can just press input select for analog, press record, wait then press 'play' to start recording.

I need a supplier for audio discs to use on teac cd recorder rw-d250 in melbourne

What you're looking for are CDR-Digital Audio or CDR-Music CD's. They're very commonly available if you Google them or try eBay - where I buy mine.

search for these keywords - CDR audio media australia

I found several listings for LG CDR-A media in large bulk quantities - 100 or 200 for $30-32 plus shipping (unknown). They also have smaller quantities for sale if you just want to buy a few to test.

No Audio 10 Error

What have you got hooked up? Another CD, tape outs from an amp or a record deck? No audio is a strange message to get, like you say you're using an audio cdr and that's usually what it means. What about if you press record with *no* source connected? Unit should record 20 seconds of silence then cut off.

How do I copy a CD on my denon CDR-W1500

10 COPYING PROCEDURE
About copying
Copying can be performed easily from the set’s CD unit onto the CD-R unit.
There are two copying speeds (normal and high) and four copying modes.
• The mode switches as described below each time the normal speed copying button (NORMAL) or the high speed copying
button (HIGH) is pressed.
• The recording level is automatically set to the default value (0.0 dB).
• The repeat and random play modes are canceled when the copy mode is set.
• During normal speed copying you can listen to the sound as you copy.
• During high speed copying no sound is produced.
• No signals are output from the digital outputs during high speed copying.
• During copying, buttons other than the CD or CD-R stop buttons do not function.
• When CD TEXT compatible CDs are copied, the disc names and track names are also copied.
When copying, switch the relay mode to the normal or dual mode. Copying is not possible in the relay or mix mode.
For optimum recording, make sure there are no fingerprints, scratches or dust on the signal surface of the source side CD or
the CD-R/RW.
The auto track function is always activated in the copying mode. It is not possible to assign track numbers manually.
Disc dubbing: In this mode, entire CDs can be copied onto CD-R/RW.
(“All Tr Dubb” is displayed.)
Make CD: In this mode, entire CDs can be copied onto CD-R/RW then finalized automatically.
(“Make CD Dubb” is displayed.)
1TR dubbing: In this mode, single tracks on CDs can be copied.
(“1Tr Dubbing” is displayed.)
Scan REC dubbing: In this mode, the desired tracks can be selected from CDs and copied.
(“Scan Rec Dub” is displayed.)

Recording problem

Does it stop at the same time elapsed on the CDr every time? Can you resume recording on the same disc afterwards? What about if you dubb high speed from the internal player?
