Power supplies are common failures..a 300Watt ATX power supply is not very expensive these days so it would be an inexpensive way to see if this is the problem..the brown spot concerns me though..seems maybe you have a filter in the supply that may have leaked electrolyte...if you have another computer with the same type of supply in it..you can try it..as long as the plugs are the same and the wattage is the same or higher

I turn on my laptop it display green light that its booting but not displaying anything, later on the green light stop but the fan is still working, the system still on. please help me out with it.

I think that the first thing you should check is the display itself. Connect the laptop to an external monitor to see if you get video output.
Also, be sure you haven't accidentally turned the video off using the Fn plus special function key combo that switches displays between the laptop and external.

Turns on fan runs but no info to the monitor doesnt seem to boot

If the Monitor is displaying no infomation at all, your display signal from the PC to the monitor has failed.
1: Check the cable between the monitor and PC
2: If you are using onboard graphics then that display port is faulty.
3: If you are using a graphics card then remove it and try the onboard graphics.
4: Your monitor maybe faulty aswell so test it on another computer to be safe.

Its more likely to be option 2

you should see the post screen if the monitor is working. try hte fn and the monitor or display key. some laptops toggle the display this way. another possibility is the lid switch that shuts off the display when you close the lid. and it could be heat damage.

Samsung 244t Monitor display issue

if the monitor will match well with Nvidia GTS8800 graphic card, you need to consider two issue:
1) resolution match from windows display property and moniter manu same one.
2) refresh frequency match from windows display property-->advance-->monitor and monitor manu--> refresh frequency
if two side setting could be all matched that you can use normally
if two side setting could not be matched any above step that you can not use some resolution normally possible.

hope help you something fixed, please take a rating let me know how much helped you thanks! keep in touch your question

Monitor doesn't display any thing

Try disconnecting the video cable and connecting it again. Turn on. If that fails, you need to try other fix.
Ok, this fix requires to open the thing. Once open:
1) Remove ONE memory stick. Turn on. If nothing, replace the other memory sick and replace the ONE previously removed. Nothing yet?
2) Check if the processor fan is running. If so, remove the processor from its slot and clean the grids of the heat sink and fan, replace the processor and heat sink and turn the PC on.

Fan, HDD... everything is working but no display.

You have no display, and cant even get to the bios screen.
OK, does anything at all show on the monitor when starting?
Logo,etc?

If that is the case, look to your video card or monitor.
I cant tell you how many times I have seen pins that are bent or proken on the VGA cable. or even plugged in.
Please check these things and let me know what you find
