My left speaker and my headphone jack did not work. I ordered part Sony IFX-565 for about $40. Watched youtube video on how to disassemble the Vaio and replaced the part. Took me about 20 minutes. I never did anything like this so I was nervous but everything worked perfectly!

Its a know issue with the VAIO EB series. However try these steps. Exclude step 3 & 4. Perform all the other steps.

http://www.kb.sony.com/selfservice/documentLink.do?externalId=C126909 If issue is not resolved, contact sony phone support or service team to get the computer repaired.

Go to control panel for the sound options - playback - speakers and then check the balance level. If its ok check what happens if you connect ext speakers or headphones to the audio port. If ext speakers or headphones are ok it means its a physical issue which requires service. So call Sony. If you still get audio from one side only from the headphones it should be the balance from control panel or media player software.

Vaio adapter won't charge

I assume this is the same adapter that came with the computer? if so then it's possible it's died. Have a look on eBay for a cheap substitute or contact your local Sony reseller for an expensive one

Not working the sound in my laptop in built speaker

Hi. If this is what you have, you may have a great deal of trouble finding
drivers as it appears to have mostly Intel inside. You can check their site
for XP64 drivers for the various components.
http://vaio-online.sony.com/prod_info/vgn-cr11gh_ b/specifications.html
Microsoft does have a generic HD driver
based on the Intel format. You may end up better off installing Vista64. Sony may be able to help you
swap your VHB86 for the 64-bit version.
