How di I manually pop open the flash

Press the OPEN (flash) button.
This button is on the side of the camera just below the flash.

The flash mode button (lightning icon) is at the lower left on the rear of the camera.
This only changes settings when the flash is up.
This cycles through Auto, red-eye reduction, forced flash and no flash.
The mode shows in the finder or the LCD screen.
AUTO mode does not show.

Flash issue

There\'s a little switch between the pop up Flash and the top of the camera that sounds like its stuck down, its under the flash when it\'s up, look for this switch and see it if it goes up and down, if not then it needs repair.

Our 7 year old Kodak digital camera works as good as new. But the flash door will not open. We have a new battery and that has not helped. Can we open the door with out damage to the camera?

Hello Martha, Sounds like the spring mechanism that operates the flash lid has a spring problem, you can manually open the flash but it will not stay in the raised position without the spring unit working,it has nothing to do with the battery,it is an internal mechanical problem.

Camera flash is not working

We need more information. What is it not doing, not opening when you press the button, not automatically opening in some of the vari-program modes or, is it opening then not flashing? If it is in a vari-program mode when the flash pops up but then the camera determines it is light enough it will not flash.

Nikon d40

If the camera is in auto mode, the flash opens anytime the camera feels that it cannot take the picture with only ambient light. You can overcome this by closing the flash once the camera opens it or using a manual mode. In manual mode, the flash opens only if you press the flash button on the left side of the flash housing.

Trouble uploading photos onto new comp.

Consider NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.

Can I use my Fun! Flash 640 digital camera with other software applications?

Yes, you can use your Polaroid Fun! Flash digital camera with many popular image-editing software applications. The Fun! Flash is TWAIN-compliant and comes with its own image acquisition software, which is automatically installed when you install PhotoMAX. Just open your image-editing software and select Polaroid Fun! Flash as your acquisition source.

The flash doesn't open automatically. There is a button on the side of the camera that says Flash (open).
