I have the same problem, seems as if this washer always tangles the clothes, there is really no solution.

The infusor on my GE PTWN8050MWW Washer is detached. It is spinning loosely and floats up when the tub is filled. How do I fix it?

If the screw holding the infusor to the shank is not broken, more than likely the shaft broke. That is what happened to mine. The part is like 339 bucks and you need to tear it apart to install it. Sorry.

Clothes get tangle around agitator

unplug the power. open the top of the washer to expose the tub. Hold on to the top layer of clothing and rotate the tub by hand in the direction that untangles the clothes.

Drawstring tangled under agitator on an older GE washing machine.

You should be able to unscrew the top cap of the agitator ( may be left hand thread ) and lift off the agitator once the cap is off... They sometimes stick so you may have to muscle it to remove that cap..once lifted off..you should be able to untangle the string that is caught..
