Follow these steps to fix a Blue Screen in Safe Mode

* Once booting start, select "Safe Mode" from the boot menu.
* Scan your hard drive by running your antivirus software . If the program locates an infection, move it to your vault or follow the on-screen instructions. After program completion, if a virus was removed, attempt to reboot your computer and see if this clears up the problem. If not, restart your computer in safe mode.
* Restore your computer to a previous point. Click on the "Start" button. Select "All Programs", "Accessories", "System Tools" and finally "System Restore". Choose a restore point on or before the last day your computer worked without error. Finally Reboot your computer to see if it loads correctly.

Hp invent repeating startup error

If it is showing a blue scree of death (BSOD) and shuts downbefore you can read the error message try this:
Turn the computer off, then turn it on and immediately start hitting the F8 keyrepeatedly until you see SAFE MODE. Scroll down below Safe Mode and youwill see an option to Disable Automatic Restart. Select it and rebootyour machine. Next time it boots up you will be able to read the errormessage. You'll probably need a system disc or repair disc to fix theblue screen error message.

You can try to do a Power drain of the system ie disconnect all the cables from the pc and press and hold the power button of the tower for 30 to 40 sec. than reconnect only the keyboard the mouse and the monitor and turn it on. try to enter the BIOS page ( keep on tabbing the F10 key to enter BIOS is Windows Vista during the start up and F1 in Windows XP) and from their you can run a Smart test on the Hard drive. You can also try to boot the Pc to the safe mode and check whether the windows loads or not. From the Advanced boot option try to do a Start up repair.
