In order to set call forwarding on this telephone, must first have the feature CFV (Call Forward Variable) on in the line. This feature can be provided by the telephone service provider.

A typical feature code for this is *72 to activate CFV and *73 to deactivate.

You can program these features on the M9316 telephone by do the following:

CFV activate

1) Press the SAVE key.
2) Then select the key where you want to program the feature.
3) Then enter *72 (optional: plus the telephone number of where you want the call to forward to).
4) Press SAVE twice.

CFV deactivate

1) Press the SAVE key
2) Then select another key where you want to program the feature.
3) Then enter *73
4) Press SAVE twice.

Be sure and label your buttons.

To use go off hook and press the key you just programmed.

How to I forward a number from one phone to another?

If your phone company provides the service, you should have a code to enter. If YOUR telephone switch is doing the forwarding, you will also have a code to enter.

Basically, you enter the code, then dial the number and hang up. To unforward, you dial a similar code, and hang up the phone.

PHONE IS ON FORWARD

I think forwarding is in your PBX rather than the phone.
On my system it is #1+ext to forward and #1 to cancel.
