Toro and Sears blowers are pretty much the same. It is not worth the trouble to replace. Good Luck

Take it apart.Multiple Phillips head screws and cut the warning stickers, too. The motor assembly will just lift out.Grab the impeller wheel and use a 1/2" socket to pull the impeller.
While your in there, lube the bushings and check the brushes and armature for blackness and scoring.(Dirt gets in there).

I got an impeller off of E bay but there are other places.

The HARD parts to find are the replacement brushes!!!!

Dave in Seattle.

I need a toro impeller model no 51553 or 51587

The impeller for your Toro blower is part #98-3150 and is available from www.partstree.com for about $20 plus shipping. To avoid shipping charges, find your local Toro dealer. Go to www.toro.com to find your nearest dealer.
An exploded parts view is also provided on partstree.com's website. This should make it easier to see what has to come apart for the impeller to be replaced.
Good luck!

Toro Blower..No power. Like a blown fuse. Does it have a fuse?

I have the Toro 51591 model. Yesterday, mine did the same as yours. I opened up the case and found that a small cylinder had broken off of the switch. So it could be that your switch is the problem. I have been unable so far to find a replacement anywhere.
You should consider using your warranty.

Toro leaf blower Model 51591 from 2003 has started

Sounds like a piece of wood is caught under/between the impellor and the case/housing. When removing the impellor, you may find it has a left hand threaded nut.

I have a Toro Super Blower Model 51591, and need a replacement power cord. None of the online catalogs show this as being for sale. Can you recommend an alternate source?

You probably won't find one (at least I haven't). But if your cord was damaged in the same way as mine (at the base, where it goes into the unit), I will be happy to share with you DIY fix that worked for me. Email to [email protected].
