Blwn fuse always with spart. - Sharp R-4A58 Microwave Oven

There should always be at least one fuse in all microwaves. Usually they are not to hard to access, but not always.

Some of the fuses started out with 15 amp our service literature has told us to put in 20 amp fuses

Unplug. Remove the top/side panel. The fuse will be obvious near the power cord it is a special non glass fuse used in microwaves. (i save many fuses from microwaves others placed at the curb so mine are always free)

There is a short inside the microwave. Must be repaired or replaced!
Make sure there is no metal inside it!!!

POSSIBLE BLWN FUSE INSIDE MAY BE ALSO FAN CAUSED IT TO OVER HEAT

should be a 20 amp fuse on this unit...hope this helps you out

for the microwave to stop suddenly it has blown its internal fuse this is located under the top panel of the unit it should be white with two silver tips ( ceramic fuse) in some cases the fuse will blow for no good reason on the other hand it can be a serious fault the fastest way to check this is to replace the fuse and re test the unit if the fuse blows instantly then bin the microwave if not it the fuse may have simply failed

Yes, is probably the fuse. I have fixed several microwaves with this problem and the fuse is almost always located just inside where the power cord enters the unit. Just remove the skin (usually screws on the back and BOTTOM also) test the fuse with a micro meter. If no contenuity, replace with same size, type and rated fuse. Most microwaves are 20amp fuse.

after blowing the fuse?..what happened next?...did you replaced the fuse and it start running again or if you replaced the fuse, it will blow again?

if it is always blowing the fuse, you may have a shorted diode in between the high voltage capacitor. you could remove that just to test if the fuse would no longer blow and if it would heat.

if it did not blow anymore and it did heat the ffod or water, then you all need to raplace that diode between the high voltage capacitor.

if the fuse did not blow anymore and it is still not heating the food , then you might have a faulty magnetron.

if it still blow your fuse then you could have a shorted magnetron, a shorted diode which is the one from the capacitor to the ground( this is anothere diode besides the one installed between the terminals of the high voltage capacitor) ( don't interchange them, they have different puposes..) or shorted capacitor also.

use a regular ohmeter to test each part...
