My 60" Aquos uses the M6.
They are Metric screws either M5 or M6, you can get them at Home Depot or LOWE's for about 50cents each, so you try a bunch of different lengths and sizes.

Testimonial: "Thank you! We'll head to Lowe's tomorrow to pick up the appropriate size screws. We just moved into a new home and they left the wall mount up for us, but did not leave any of the extra screws that went with the mount. Thanks again! "

Check the kitchen drawer next to the fridge for the screws !!
When you get new screws, use lengths 1/2".. any longer and you might hit something inside.
Don't know why this is posted under IS-LCDTV26.. I would pull a screw from my 26" and measure it, but it's most likely different than your 42"
