Most dishes in any dishwasher are still wet when cycle is finished. The heat built up in the dishes during the washing cycle is what causes the water to evaporate when the machine stops.

It seems that the newer dishwashers are worse at drying dishes than their tupperware melting predecessors were. They have all been tuned down, and do dry less. The only thing that you can do is to set your machine for the hottest wash, power dry and use a rinse agent that provides a sheeting action. Some folks use white vinegar as a supplement to their rinse aid, which has the added bonus of killing mold. Water also stays attached if the water has laid down minerals as noted by cloudy glassware. If this is the case, a dishwasher filter (dishwasherfilter.com, $70) might help. We try to wash hot, with a power dry and use a rinse aid/vinegar. The heater on this unit only comes on twice, once in the wash cycle, and again in the Sanitary rinse. During the drying cycle all that happens is a vent opens and a fan comes on. The fan removes the hot moist air from the unit and the dishes dry off. If your water is not hot enough, this is why your dishes are still wet. Rinse aid also helps to sheen off the excess water as well.

Same problem here. I read the manual very carefully. "OptiDry", "ExtraDry", "EcoDry", "condensation drying" -- lots of fancy words to cover the simple fact -- they DO NOT DRY the dishes. There is no heating element. I wish they would just state this up-front. Air drying the dishes for 24 hours after each wash is not workable for most users...
