I have a very old domestic Hobart dishwasher. The micro switch that is controlled by the float on the inside left of the machine has malfunctioned . I believe that this micro switch controls the "water in" valve/solenoid. It's ID = UNIMAX 2TMT2002 4 Y , 10 amp-1/4hp 125-250VAC. It's an odd switch as it's lever is about 25mm long and has a paddle on the end to line up with the plunger comming through from the float inside the machine. It also only has 2 prongs for connection and 2 holes for fastening. Could you help me find a replacement as it's a great dishwasher and I'm not. Peter Mac

Any appliance parts store will have them. It's not unique. You might be able to find one online. Google appliance parts. You will be overwhelmed with the response.

SOURCE: Hotpoint Aquarius DWF31 Dishwasher Inlet Valve

Please verify that the hose screen is not plugged.
3.8k is good.
Did you try putting your hand carefully on the body of the valve to check for the clicking sound/vibration at the solenoid?
If you here/feel something, you may just have a plug-up.
Otherwise if there is no noise and since the solenoid coil checks out, You should also check to see if there is voltage to the solenoid coil.
The solenoid could also be stuck and a few taps could loosen junk from it.
Always observe safety!
If there is voltage, by putting a meter across the coil terminals, then you do have a stuck or shot solenoid and the entire valve/solenoid assembly should be replaced.

SOURCE: electrolux Dishwasher 24 " not

if i was at your home as a repairman this is what i would do.if your water pressure was good at the kitchen sink,i would turn water off to dishwasher undo water connection at the fill valve, and place water line in a bucket and turn on water.if ok and still not getting water then prob with fill valve.soooo you have a new valve, did you check the water pressure to the valve? if yes good because then you also flushed out that in coming water line.because[and i have done this a few times]if not flushed their could have been minerals setting in that supply line so when you turn the water back on it pushes that stuff into the new water valve screen and blocks it up also.if your getting water then its trying to do its job,it just cant get enough water and the timer times out so no more voltage to the water valve.thats a lot said but there no mystery to it.the timer allows for lets say a 70 sec fill at 40 lbs water presure ,seventy seconds up that's it .the float only stops it from flooding, too much water.it dose not tell the machine that there is not enough! so because its letting in some water that tells me the float switch is closed[and it should be]leting the voltage to the water valve.the water valve has to let in enough water then.i know i mixed up words a bit but i hope this helps you understand whats happening.God bless ,if you need more advice you can email thru FixYa tom

SOURCE: Dishwasher will not fill up with water

check the following- remove the wires from the fill valve.close the door and start the unit.u should read 120 v as u start the unit.if u read 120v then fill valve is bad.if not then chk and make sure the float is sitting completely down and float sw is closed.the power to fill valve goes throug this sw.if all is ok and still there is no power then u may not be getting power from cntrl board and control board could be bad.but that rarely happens.turbidity sensor does not affect the fill operation.good luck.

Hobart AM14. It is filling and going into wash cycle properly but rushes through cycle in about 5 seconds total. Pump starts. Tank heats. Float switch seems good.

It is possible that the timer or control board is malfunctioning, causing the machine to rush through the wash cycle. You may want to consider checking and replacing these components if necessary. It is also important to ensure that the wash arm and nozzles are not clogged or blocked, as this can affect the wash cycle's effectiveness.

What is the meaning of transport blocked in Hobart Dishwasher?

I assume you are referring to a commercial rack dishwasher rather than domestic? Transport blocked means either the conveyor has jammed and twisted the cut out switch on the motor or the table end switch is activated or faulty.

Hello, I am sorry that your dish washer isn't working. One of the biggest problems with these new dishwasher is they install the control on top of the door and the operational circuit board below the control panel. Inside the door is acceptable to moisture which creates all kinds of problems. It not the spray arm or the float, or the pump. it is where they put the circuitry to control the dish washing machine.

I hoping that all you will need is a push button control strip for this dish washer. moisture get in the micro switches and make them inoperable. These button in the control strip are hermetically sealed against moisture....for a while.

Remember, it depends on how long has the dishwasher been working and what will be the cost to repair your dishwasher. Dishwasher are really good for 10 to 12 years of service. I worked on a Kenmore that was 25 years old. I told the lady of the house it is time for a new dishwasher. I could have repaired it, but really it not worth it when it is this old. GB...stewbison

Hobart lx30h rinse additive is running all the

The main cause is the "anti flood" device at the bottom of the washer that detects a water leak "hose leak" etc. This device made up of a polystireen float and micro switch is a safety device and when activated puts the washer in pump out mode only. You need to look at the base of the washer and see if water leak has caused this. Rectify the cause "normaly hose or clamp" and this should clear the

Only wants to fill

There are two possible reasons for the situation as you describe it: 1. Water-inlet valve The water-inlet valve lets water enter the machine. If this valve is defective, you need to completely replace it. It's usually located behind the lower access panel on the left or right side. It's the device with the main water line (usually copper) from the house, a rubber tube to the dishwasher, and two wires attached to it.
2. Float switch The float switch is a small electrical switch that's located right below the dishwasher "floor." Above the switch, on the inside of the dishwasher, is a plastic cylinder that floats up as water fills the dishwasher. If this switch is defective, or if the plastic float gets caught or trapped in the raised position, the water can't enter the dishwasher. If the float switch is defective, you need to replace it.

If you are mechanically inclined you can repair either of these but if you are not you will have to hire it done. Now that you know it is one of two problems you can tell the repairman ahead of time and get a price on the repair. Then shop around for the best price.

Maytag dishwasher

Likely the float valve is deformed and no longer seated on its micro switch. Remove the bottom kick plate and look for a flimsy white spike seated on a micro switch but bent out of its proper position. The float looks like an upside down cup located near the front left corner of the inside of the dishwasher. The shaft of the float is a skinny 1/8 inch flexible piece of plastic. It deforms routinely under the light weight of the cup and the heat accumulating below the dishwasher. You can reseat the shaft on the micro switch for a temporary fix. For a permanent fix try re-enforcing the shaft with aluminum tape and a long sewing needle. Keep the retrofit very light weight to avoid over weighting the micro switch. A jammed water level sensor float can cause either no water (your situation) or water overflowing onto the floor. Usually the overflow water flows around the shaft of the float and pours our from underneath the kick plate

Dry dish washing

remove your lower kick plate inside the dishwasher you will see a safety float under that safety float is a micro switch make sure the actuator rod from the safety float is depressing the micro switch and that the micro switch is good if that's good then replace the water valve where the water line comes in
