If the printer is not printing, check the cables connecting the printer and the computer. Make sure it is properly connected. Check the settings on your computer if printer is set as a default printer and try printing a test page from the driver page. To do this open printer and faxes, right click on the printer >properties and click the button print test page.

If you are able to print a test page, check the settings of your application and make that the correct printer is selected.

My printed does not respond when i ask for printing

make sure there isn't other printer software installed.
also make sure the printer you are trying to use is marked as the (default printer) in printers and devices.
Important if you plugged the printer in before the software told you to, you may have to uninstall printer completely. then reload the software carefully watching for NOW plug in your printer. on some units they will not work unless done in sequence.

I can't print anything on printer, and when I try, it says the printer is not responding. In Printers and Faxes, it says it is ready.

Sure sounds like you have another printer as the default. Click on start. Then click on control panel. Click on printers and other stuff. See which printer is set as the default. If the Canon Pixma mx340 isn't change it. This should solve your problem.

My Canon MX340 is all set up wirelessly and has the blue light on. But when I try to print something from Word is shows that the printer is not responding. I know it prints because I used it to copy...

You MUST put in the password of the router in or it will never connect. Pressing a number key several times quickly should change the number to letters.
