You need a yellow cable the red and white are usually the sound
your ps2 connecion cable should have 3 cable red, while and a yellow.
the red and white go to the L and R sound sockets and the yellow goes to the video socket.
this is the picture.
then looking at the socket you connected to on your tv. e.g. AV. select that source using your remote and then you will get the ps2 signal.(ensuring your ps2 is switched on).
i hope this was useful.
Is the cable you are using a set of Yellow, Red & White cables? If so do you have them plugged into the ports on the "side" of the Monitor? or are you trying to use the ports on the back?
It should be hooked up to the ports on the side.
Thanks - They are red yellow and black but there are no ports at the side of the monitor just a flap which seems to do nothing... the instruction book is useless!!
At the back of the monitor is there a Yellow port? or just a White, 2 Reds, Blue
It seems to have cut my message off.
If the back of the monitor does not have a Yellow "Video In" port, and only 5 ports that are Red, White, Red, Blue,
Green. Then you need to purchase a "Component Cable" for your PS2. Monoprice has one it's Product ID 4009 and costs $4.42
It has five ports - Red white red blue green not yellow - I will try to get a component cable but you are in the US and I am uk so may not be the same!!! I'll see if I can get same here. Thanks very much for your help
