That will be nothing to do with the lamp. It has a colour decoder fault.

Optoma PK301 lost a color

it is not correlated with bulb
1,the color starts to go out, it become the white and black, the color is disappear.
2,then,the projector running off after only a few minutes,
it is a general issue:the inductor need to be cleaned
Use a cotton swab moistened with alcohol to clean the inductor.
the inductor (Sensing element),is near to the Color Wheel.
the industor : is a black little element,as little as 3 sesame seeds

My dell 1201 projectors displays only in yellow

you have most likely lost 2 of your color guns, most projectors have RED, Green and BLUE as the projector colors (some newer projectors have added a 4th color). if one of your color guns has gone out, you may experience colors that are not correct. that is where I would start. go to the convergence routine, in your setup menu. this is where you can determine if one of your "guns" has quit working.

Just replaced burnt out bulb in Infocus 4805 projector. Great picture with new bulb but only black and white. Is this a bulb issue or something else in the projector?

This is most likely the color wheel. When the bulb blows, it can damage the color wheel. The color wheel is a wheel composed of thin layers of colored glass that spins in front of the projected image. It is possible to repair it with super glue, but the best way is to try to find a new one to buy.

I have an infocus 4805 screenplay projector and i was using it when there was a pop and then i lost all color in my projector now its only black and white the bulb filter is clean what do i do.

Your projector is DLP technology. It employs a "color wheel" to provide colors other than blank/white. That "pop" you heard unfortunately may have been a malfunction of the color wheel mechanism, probably the motor. (It runs at very high RPM)

Sounds like you may have to find a shop to service your projector.

Was watching the projection and everything was fine. Then a loud pop/glass breaking sound was heard. Immediately, the projection could only be seen in black and white (no more color images). Help!

Souds like a Dlp projector and the wheel inside broke is what it souds like what happend, I would have this serviced.

Projects in black and white

It's probably the color-wheel problem. Maybe the color-wheel stucked because of dust and/or color-wheel sensor is covered with dust.

The simple way to check this, without reinstalling drivers or so, you just tap menu button on remote. If you will see only black-white user interface it is definitly color-wheel.

Good luck.

Displays picture in black and white

This must be a DLP (I hate DLP Personally). What most likely happened is that the color wheel got stuck or broke. Remove the bulb, you will be able to see the color wheel. Don't touch it with your hand, see if you can move it with a tooth pick or something. Then try turning it on with the bulb out to see if it moves.
