I have a RFG297ACRS (Canadian Model of AARS). Bought new and delivered yesterday. Waited 2 hours before plugging it in as directed by the delivery guys. Plugged in 24+ hours ago but until now it's still not cooling down but the door temperature display says it is -22C freezer and 4C fridge. Tried everything the manual suggested but nothing is working. Door is not displaying OF so it's not on Cooling off mode. Suggestions? I've arranged to have the dealer exchange it for me but just want to know what is the possible issue.

Must be on demonstation mode, manual says the following: press ENERGY SAVER BUTTON AND FREEZER/HOLD 3 SEC FOR POWER FREEZER BUTTON simultaneously for 3 seconds until an alarm sound is heard.

Sounds like a lemon, RETURN IT! Lowe's has no service department, buy from Best Buy or ABT, buy the warranty because refrigerators are not like they used to be...!
Did u follow the unpacking and installation instructions??
Are the sides,bottom,and back of refrigerator clear of all obsticals?
Did u remove the plastic from the ac cord prongs?
bad coil in it, i had bought a m2500 murray weedeater from walmart .did same thing i replaced the coil. bad when you buy something from wal mart and have to get it fixxed before you can use it. now it works fine
That would depend on if the delivery people laid the unit down or not if the unit is delivered strait up the hole time then you would be able to plug it in about an hour after it is delivered. If they lay the unit down horizontally it is best to let the unit sit for 24 hours before plugging the unit in. If you have any further questions message me back. Try taking the battery out before you turn it on. Have seen completely a dead dead battery keeping a laptop from starting up. Does the hard drive activity light flickering? If it is you can try holding down the Function button (FN) and there should be another button to hit to switch between LCD\CRT.
