On the iPod touch, select "Settings"
On the second line, you should see "Wi-Fi", touch on the right side of this bar, this will bring you to the menu to choose a network. From there, choose the network you want, and type in the security code if need be.
.
As a note, if you go back to settings, the 1st line is "Airplane Mode", make sure this option is "OFF".

My Dlink Model WBR 2310 has to be reset all the time to connect. It says ''limited connectivity'' after unplugging the router for 10 seconds. My laptop connects. This happens just about every day.

when you are connected, go into cmd, type ipconfig /all and note down the ip addresses. in xp, click the wifi icon on your taskbar, then properties and scroll down to tcp/ipv4. click properties, highlight use the following ip address and type in what you found in cmd. for dns, highlight the use the following dns settings and type what you found in cmd. for vista, click the network icon, open network and sharing center and then view status (do the same as xp from then on). hope this helps

D-link WBR-2310 has serious drop out problems

I'm pretty sure that downgrading the firmware to 1.0.3 will work. I had been running at this level for quite some time and for some reason I decided to upgrade to the latest version which started the problems for me. I am downgrading to this now and I expect better results. All of the firmware versions are available at http://www.dlink.com/products/support.asp?pid=470&sec=0. You pick the right hardware revision. PLEASE NOTE: Save off/remember your settings as when you change the firmware it resets all of them back to system defaults.

D-link WBR 2310 will not download large files.

update firmware, reset to factory settings (not a power cycle reset as most ISPs say to do)
